Toile de Jouy to the world: there’s something for everyone in Dior’s Christmas 2018 collection.
Inspired by the female horseriders of Mexico, Dior’s Cruise 2019 collection intertwined strength with feminity like threads on a lasso: full skirts and dresses made of delicate Chantilly lace were paired with tough leather belts and black rubber boots.
The juxtaposition was not lost on the accessories. For the collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri transformed Dior’s Toile de Jouy pattern by adding wild beasts like tigers and serpents to its peaceful pastoral scenes.
The remixed French fabric appears across Dior’s accessories range for the Christmas season, including shoes, jewelry, scarves and the Maison’s stable of bags like the Lady Dior, Dior Saddle and Dior Book Tote.
For those looking to spruce up their homes, you’ll also find the print on Dior Maison’s home decor offerings like plates and cushions. And let’s not forget the stuffed toys from Baby Dior — adorable gift options for the little ones.
