Dior – Penny Slinger for Chiuri’s Haute Couture

For the AW 2019-2020 Dior Couture show by Maria Grazia Chiuri, artist Penny Slinger explored the themes of women, nature and architecture via mystical projections on the walls of the House’s historic address, 30 Avenue Montaigne.

Fire, air, water and a 15-meter tree in the stairwell: the mysteries of nature take hold inside 30 Avenue Montaigne, creating a spellbinding habitat for beautiful caryatids.

It took 3 weeks, 15 artists and many hundreds of square feet of custom-designed wallpaper and flooring to create the mystical world of Penny Slinger, the US-based feminist artist commissioned by #MariaGraziaChiuri to create the scenography for the Dior Autumn-Winter 2019-2020 Haute Couture show.
