Louis Vuitton is pleased to reveal that the Spring-Summer 2025 campaign features House Ambassadors Lisa and Saoirse Ronan depicted as contemporary portraits within the atmospheric paintings of French conceptual artist Laurent Grasso.

Shot by Steven Meisel, the campaign follows Nicolas Ghesquière’s – Artistic Director of Women’s collections — latest runway collection, which closed with three exceptionally crafted looks that integrated Grasso’s otherworldly landscapes featuring floating spheres and fiery torches. For the campaign, three new works from his series Studies into the Past introduce another surrealistic phenomenon, the black rectangle, reshaping the boundaries of a pristine, untouched nature, and extend across the backdrop while Lisa and Saoirse Ronan exude a self-assured warmth.

Wearing statement looks from the show, the two internationally acclaimed talents appear immersed in these uncanny yet naturalistic scenes so that close-ups bring a touch of Renaissance composition. Shown in full-length, they are portrayed with slight movement – at once classical and dynamic.

Lisa and Saoirse Ronan embody the notions of ‘soft power’ that inspired Nicolas Ghesquière’s Spring-Summer 2025 collection. Lisa, a member of the phenomenally successful South Korean girl group, Blackpink, also proved her strength as a solo artist when her second single, ‘Money,’ became the first K-pop solo single to reach one billion streams on Spotify. She recently released an array of new singles, including “Moonlit Floor,” which interpolates the 90’s pop hit “Kiss Me”. Currently the most-followed K-pop artist on Instagram, she will make her acting debut in the third season of The White Lotus, set in Thailand.

Four-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan broke into Hollywood at 13 years old with her performance as Briony Tallis in Atonement, which garnered her BAFTA and Oscar nominations. She most recently starred in Steve McQueen’s historical drama, Blitz, and in The Outrun, based on the bestselling memoir by Amy Liptrot, which she also produced. Recent film credits include Little Women, Lady Bird, and Brooklyn, each garnering her Oscar nominations.

Painted in oil on wood, and inspired by historical painting techniques and compositions, Laurent Grasso’s Studies into the Past, with their science-fictional aura, parallels Nicolas Ghesquière’s ongoing fascination with the flattening of time – how anachronisms and the future can converge as a single creative expression. As Steven Meisel builds upon the mysterious and realistic aspects of these images with their painterly allusions, Lisa and Saoirse Ronan convey an alluring, modern femininity expressed through the frame of Louis Vuitton.

The Louis Vuitton Women’s Spring-Summer 2025 campaign launches in print insertions globally from 16th January 2025.
