Jimmy Choo enlists a trio of top models for its fall-winter 2018 campaign. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Joan Smalls and Lily Aldridge appear in the images captured by Lachlan Bailey.
The Autumn Winter 2018 Jimmy Choo collection heralds a return to an exquisite yet insouciant glamour tempered by silhouettes carved with a modern refinement reminiscent of the illustrator Erté’s lyrical alphabet. Moiré silk, pearls, sumptuous velvets peppered with micro shimmer crystals and painterly brocades resonate with the Belle Époque’s optimistic beauty in a palette dominated by gold, black and blush.
The calm allure of the pearl decorates throughout the collection from the innocent charm of its purist form to gilt oversized iterations evoking turn of the century opulence. It’s placement runs the gauntlet from assertive punctuations on the SADIRA cutaway pump and SACORA ankle strap sandal, to a peeping wink that teases whilst nestled in folds of metallic gold elaphé. The SAMANTHA micro heeled mule is an ode to the pearl with all over embellishment in natural shades of ivory. The BETHANIE boot ‘button’ detail heroes the precious object; studded pearl inlays on the combat inspired HANAH boot lend a youthful attitude.
Shot by Lachlan Bailey, the campaign stars models Joan Smalls, Lily Aldridge, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Clément Chabernaud.
