The outfit worn by Céline Dion, Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura and Axelle Saint-Cirel at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 in the heart of La Galerie Dior

Perpetuating its passionate affinities with the world of sport, Dior contributed to the magic of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. For this historic event, orchestrated in the heart of the City of Light, the House breathed life into the fabulous silhouettes worn by several of the immense artists performing at this unique happening, which honored women and female strength through the prism of freedom and self-assertion. An athletic performance in itself, this tremendous collaborative energy highlighted the marvelous plurality of savoir-faire, at the convergence of excellence and innovation.

Prolonging the dream and emotion of this exceptional show, La Galerie Dior at 30 Montaigne presents, starting July 31, the outstanding pieces created by Maria Grazia Chiuri for Céline Dion, Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura and Axelle Saint-Cirel during this memorable evening.

The Paris room – dedicated to Christian Dior’s fascination with the capital – reveals Lady Gaga‘s dazzling outfit for her interpretation of Mon truc en Plumes, by the iconic Zizi Jeanmaire. A number that paid tribute to the spirit of French cabaret, during which she appeared in a black satin bustier, topped with a short jacket and a majestic feather skirt, worked in a bewitching palette of black and pink.

Consecrated to the splendor of celebrations, which never ceased to inspire the founding-couturier, the Bal Dior room hosts Axelle Saint-Cirel‘s prodigious outfit, perfectly illustrating Dior’s infinitely virtuoso draping technique in a striking trompe-l’oeil with the French flag.

Aya Nakamura’s look shines forth in the showcase entrusted to the precious ties uniting Dior and the most emblematic stars; an exclusive ensemble, revisiting one of the silhouettes from the Dior haute couture autumn-winter 2024-2025 show by Maria Grazia Chiuri, entirely sewn with gold feathers – hand-embroidered one by one by the artisans of Maison Lemarié.

Unveiled beside it is the extraordinary Dior haute couture creation that sublimated the performance by Céline Dion. For this grandiose finale, the singer was dressed in a white silk georgette gown, embellished with a hypnotic gradation of sequins and magnified by over five hundred meters of fringes covered in thousands of silver pearls, which seemed to come alive, vibrate and sparkle to the rhythm of her enchanting interpretation.
