Fusing couture and architecture, artisanship and innovation, Cannage continues its fascinating odyssey through the different seasons and shows, at the convergence of celebration and reinvention. A symbol of the Dior allure, inspired by the light-colored cane embellishing the Napoleon III chairs in Haute Couture salons – from the very first défilés of Christian Dior at 30 Montaigne.
At the heart of the Dior Winter 2024-2025 Men’s Collection thought up by Kim Jones, the maxicannage motif adorns a series of exquisite leather goods in black or beige grained leather. An exceptional reinterpretation of the iconic cannage graphics, its geometric lines conjure up an irresistible interplay of relief and perspective on unique creations such as the saddle twin and weekender. This bewitching pattern also sublimates camera bags that merge functionality and modernity. So many objects of desire, punctuating looks with their fluid, pared-down curves.
