This week, Dior Couture launches its first augmented reality filter on the Facebook camera. Developed in collaboration with the Mill and the facebook teams, this experience allows users to engage with a feature called “Tap to Quake”, enabling them to try on the new DiorColorQuake sunglasses from Autumn-Winter 2018-19 in a range of 5 different colors.
By switching to the rear-facing camera, the user can view their surroundings through the corresponding shade. The appearance of a collage of posters on the screen recalls the Décor of the Show and the wrapping of the Paris flagship store with protest and Consciousnessraising slogans that capture the inspiring energy of the 1960s youthquake that inspired the Collection.
