Dior presents the Perforated Cannage Line, an iconic house code introduced by the founding couturier, now transformed by Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior Menswear, into a Collection of Men’s Bags, epitomizing savoir-faire with a modern twist.
The Cannage pattern is inspired by the elegant Napoléon III-style chairs that were historically used to seat clients attending the haute couture showings in the salons at 30 Avenue Montaigne.
For Summer 2019, the use of the cannage represents a fusion of the couture and the contemporary: lasercutting combines with meticulous handwork to render each piece a perfect example of innovative Dior Savoir-Faire.
The line includes two bags in perforated leather: the perfect weekend bag and the shopper, both available in black and a natural tan color. Inside, printed with the emblematic bee reimagined by the american artist kaws, a canvas pouch has been designed to hold and protect items such as a laptop, books or clothing.
