For over forty years, Brigitte Lacombe has taken the pictures of some of the world’s greatest leading figures, from actors and filmmakers to politicians and intellectuals.
Continuing her passionate dialogue with Maria Grazia Chiuri since her very first collection for Dior, the French photographer has sublimated the architectural Lady 95.22 by staging it alongside the friends of the House, in a wonderfully pared-down, black-and-white campaign of several episodes. Each of the emblematic personalities she portrays* expresses their singularity, grace and audacity. A plural self-affirmation through the prism of Dior elegance.
For this final chapter, Brigitte Lacombe confides the secrets of her creative process in a video – natural poses and lighting, without artifice –, which connects universes, styles and generations with immediate authenticity. Her magnetic, instantly recognizable shots capture the uniqueness of this iconic new bag and the way these outstanding individuals have made it their own, offering an unprecedented perspective on multi-faceted femininity.
