Discover “Herstory” at the New Museum in New York, a masterful feminist exhibition from the latest #DiorLady9522 ambassador, Judy Chicago. Supported by Dior, this showcase underscores her enduring influence on American art and is open now until January 14, 2024.
Until January 14, 2024, the New Museum in New York is hosting Herstory, a spellbinding retrospective dedicated to Judy Chicago – including her piece first presented at the Dior spring-summer 2020 haute couture show, the fruit of her passionate dialogue with Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Spread over four floors, this pioneering – major – odyssey brings together more than sixty years of her work while also shedding light on a series of women overlooked by the history of art. These iconic, captivating personalities have greatly inspired the committed American artist, whose memory she has never ceased to help keep alive and shine forth.
Revealing her many contributions as a key figure in feminism, this multidisciplinary narrative is embodied through paintings, sculptures, installations, drawings, photographs, engravings, stained glass and needlework — a medium especially dear to the Creative Director of Dior’s women’s lines.
As a privileged partner of this unique event, Dior inaugurated it with an exceptional dinner, at the convergence of inventiveness, culture and elegance.
A pluralistic ode to the power of creativity, this exhibition celebrates and reinforces the unwavering links between Dior and art.
