Dior presents the Dior Fall 2024 Collection dreamed up by Maria Grazia Chiuri
With défilés setting the pace for fashion seasons, Fall constitutes a particular period of reflection, an ongoing questioning, constantly renewed. This Dior line is an opportunity to pay homage to Paris and New York, a captivating dialogue between the two style capitals – celebrated in Christian Dior’s autobiography – and highlighted by Maria Grazia Chiuri through essential prints.
The bridge connecting both cultures is Marlene Dietrich, a charismatic, contrarian actress attached to Dior, in life and on screen. The Creative Director drew inspiration from her to build a collection fusing the Dior look with the diva’s iconic presence and boyish allure. Sublimating the show’s silhouettes – staged at the emblematic Brooklyn Museum – the jackets are paired with wide-leg pants or below-the-knee pencil skirts.
The precious and sometimes very light dresses offer a glimpse of the lingerie, which turns out to be a crucialpart of the outfit, while embroidery evokes the signature codes so dear to the founding-couturier: the star, the clover, and the bee. A prodigious range of possibilities.
