Dior AW22-2023: backstage focus

Get up close with some of the hybrid details of Dior AW22 by Maria Grazia Chiuri, from the reborn pumps originally designed for the House by Roger Vivier in the 50s to high-tech gloves and airbags from the collaboration with D-Air Lab*.

Elbow-length gloves that get a colorful, high-tech reworking are emblazoned with the legend ‘The Next Era‘ and are part of the season’s collaboration with @DAirLabOfficial, as is a high-tech bolero reduced to its inventive basics in an airbag and strap construction.

Meanwhile, an adaptation of a Roger Vivier pump designed for the House in the 1950s is paired with fishnets richly embroidered with coral-colored beads.

* D-Air lab is an Italian start-up founded in 2015 by Lino Dainese. Architect Silvia Dainese Gris is leading this special project for Dior.
