Dior presents the Dior and Otani Workshop Capsule

Dior unveils an exclusive Capsule Dior & Otani Workshop* dreamed up by Kim Jones in collaboration with the japanese artist of the same name, an eminent and singular figure in contemporary art. Inhabited by joyful energy, this men’s collection is punctuated by a small green monster, conceived by the famous sculptor.

Named Tanilla after Otani, this irresistible creature flourishes in an oversized version on refined sweaters and subtly unfurls on short-sleeved t-shirts or bombers, evoking the smart-casual spirit of the Dior Spring 2024 line as well as on the new tennis shoes b33 high top. The bewitching motif also appears on a denim overshirt, as well as on the Dior Oblique Toile – in vibrant shades of burgundy and pink – an iconic reference of the house, adorning elegant knitwear. As a final surprise, the symbol is emblazoned on a stylized adaptation of the “Dior” logo, embellishing hooded sweatshirts and pouches with functional shoulder straps. Emblematic of the founding-couturier’s heritage, a patch revealing the signature “Christian Dior Couture” dresses a range of models, including baggy pants. These pieces are enhanced with a palette dominated by red, a color dear to Monsieur Dior, who sees it as “the color of life” in his petit dictionnaire de la mode.

These exceptional creations will be on display in Dior boutiques.

*the name Otani Workshop does not refer to a collective of artists, but to a singular sculptor who has become a leading figure in japanese contemporary art.
